Many gimmicks have been tried by churches to fulfill the Great Commission of Making Disciples of all nations. Joining the efforts of NAMB and Alsbom, Covington Baptist Association is ready to join God in His plan for reaching our county. GPS stands for God’s Plan for Sharing. A biblical approach to evangelism is not only more effective, it is in the will of God. Our vision for the county, and we pray for each pastor and church, is to transform believers to turn Covington County upside down.
Vision Part One: Transform Believers
Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Vision Part Two: Turn Covington County upside down

The Vision Imagine It:
Every person in the county…
• knowing that we love them
• receiving an authentic witness
• having a Church and pastor with a process to support life-change, spiritual growth, and ministry involvement
The Key…Working Together
Pastors, deacons, church leaders, and all believers of Jesus in Covington Baptist Association… genuinely loving every person in the county that they may come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior

The Biblical Process:
• Praying – Every believer asking lost people how they may pray for them
• Caring – Every believer developing ministry relationships with the lost
• Sharing – Every believer reaching lost people with an authentic gospel witness
